Incredible movie...best bicycle movie ever made!

This is an awesome movie....period. Never mind it is about a mountain bike race with Lance Armstrong. It is about real people, the town they live in and one event that brings them all together. It touches on the human spirit at all levels. The photography is absolutely stunning. Citizen spared no expense and had cameras all over the 100 miles of this race. This is a must see movie and if you are a cyclist a must have. If you do not feel motivated to ride after this movie then you probably missed your own funeral.

My dream vacation is camping on a warm (but not hot) week in one of our national parks like Yellowstone, Yosemite or Grand Canyon. This is a Travel Brochure - Smok'n - Stuttgart
This is a travel brochure that claims to be in HD but you can plainly see there are portions in HD and other parts in SD (These parts look like they were taken off a DVD). The HD quality is less than impressive. I wanted to see more of the parks and not of the local hotels or what I might want to spend my money on if I should go to the park. I agree with the other review, get something from BBC and you'll see the difference in quality.

This was NOT filmed in HD. It was produced with normal film, and then put on Blu-ray.
It's grainy, and it could have been superbly beautiful, save for Ken Burns' disdain for digital video.
I've seen this on DVD, and I bought the Blu-ray, and there is no difference in picture on a blu-ray player that upconverts dvd, or plays the Blu-ray edition.

Ken? I want my money back. Coulda bought the dvd! Bought the blu-ray, and it's grainy as a 4:3 tv with a videotape.

Maybe next time he'll use an HD camera with digital recording. But I doubt it.

This production, which was originally shown on PBS stations, effectively portrays the beauty and grandeur of British Columbia.

I have previously purchased VHS and DVD versions of this production.

However, the program was created in HD and is significantly enhanced when viewed in HD.

For anyone who appreciates beautiful scenery, the videography of this production is as good as it gets.

The music and narration are also excellent.

Fine content, mediocre quality - Robert Dubert - Ypsilanti MI USA
This 1996 production is not up to current high-definition video standard, and the audio soundtrack is 2 channel stereo. It's a disappointment as a Blu-Ray disc.
