  • If it moves, smash it! The filmmakers behind The Matrix and V for Vendetta bring new blood (lots of it!) to martial arts movies in Ninja Assassin. Korean pop star Rain (Speed Racer) stars as heroic, deadly Raizo. Trained from childhood in the way of the Ozunu Clan ninja, he is stalked by fellow warriors for breaking free of them and their iron-willed dojo patriarch (martial arts legend Sho Kosugi)... and is on the run with a Europol agent (Naomie Harris) who has proof the clan sells assassination services to governments. The action is start-to-finish – fast, fierce, filled with weaponry (chains, swords, staffs, shuriken) and awesome athleticism. Fear not the weapon, but the hand that wields it.

  • Quite frankly I think I did :). Japanese Pop Star Rain plays Raizo who turnes on the leader of a deadly clan of Ninja's that trained him when they want him to kill an innocent girl. And then you can pretty much say my eyes was introduced to a barrage of Ninja Stars, Sword Fighting and stunts that make Jet Li look soft. My only problem with this film is the amount of fake looking blood. They are lots of it but the action is to fun to watch to simply care. The only other thing that holds this movie back is the slow pace it takes when a woman starts to investigate these deadly Ninja's. I like the story of the Flashback of Raizo being trained by the Ninja leader as a young kid though. Reminds me of Bloodsport in a way. I expect this film to get a lot of people interested in Ninjutsu that's for sure. Definitely buy this!

Boy Band Ninjas??? Blu ray review - A. Scultore - NY
STYLE OVER SUBSTANCE! No doubt the reason why this is being so highly rated is because Ninja/Kung Fu movies have die hard fans. They usually can't see anything objectively through their Ninja colored glasses.

Ninja Assasin is a fun popcorn flick (if you can keep your food down?)! There is a choppy story line that is not bad. The acting on the other hand is (for the most part). Rain a Korean Pop Star, plays a deadly Ninja named Raizo. he was abducted as a young child and trained to become a deadly assasin. The "family" kills the only thing he ever loved which sets Raizo on a hellbent course to destroy them. That's it...not really much else.

Now if you don't care for acting and execution, but you love stylized kung fu violence, this movie is for you!

NOW FOR MY BLU RAY THOUGHTS: This movie is probably best suited for full 1080p viewing! It looks great, and sounds awesome too. FINAL THOUGHTS: Wait for it on cable! NINJA FANS: Go get your black suits on and take out your foam nunchucks...BUY!

    It's just a movie people.. - F. R. Nickles Jr. - Stevens Point, WI
Honestly I thought the movie was entertaining and I'd watch it again
The coolest part of the movie was when he healed himself and then went on fighting ...
I've been trying to figure out how I can heal myself since I watched that...
The fight scenes are pretty incredible even if somewhat unrealistic at times - but the fighting is just pretty incredible - there's no other word about it. The story line? well I'd put it as one of those old B movies

I kept wondering how he went that long without anything to eat
